A city employment application is required for all open positions. A complete application (city employment application, record waiver and if required supplemental questionnaire) must be submitted to the Human Resources Department. IMPORTANT: Facsimiles, photo copies, electronic mail, or final filing date postmarks will not be accepted.

The City of Manhattan Beach is currently accepting applications for the part-time Administrative Intern. Under general supervision, the Administrative Intern will provide support for the Information Technology Department. This position will expose students to career options within a municipal government environment.

HOURS: Part-time positions will not work over 960 hours per fiscal year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Training & Experience: Must be a student in good standing at an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration or a related field. No experience is necessary. Desirable course work in information technology.

License: A valid California Class "C" driver's license is required at the time of employment and acceptable driving record is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Must have general knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Products; the ability to work effectively and communicate with other people both orally and in writing; have organizational skills; follow directions and complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner. A strong desire to work in a public service oriented environment is beneficial.
